Dress to Kill in a Pair of our Gladiator Sandals
Somewhere between the 1st Century BC and the 2nd Century AD these extremely popular sandals were once worn by bold and extremely aggressive gladiators for their comfort, durability and support.
Over time the concept of the gladiator sandal has not changed, although the styles have. Obviously those of you who choose to wear this style of sandals do not plan on being sent to Rome to train as a gladiator, but you may feel that these shoes give you a bold and fearless edge to your chosen style and given their history; it is not surprising.
Gladiators were dressed to kill, with each fight lasting about ten to fifteen minutes and even those who didn’t fight well were awarded with honour and glory, so it is only right that you wear yours with the same.
These sandals will always define strength and power, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t pair them up with a pretty dress, skirt or elegant linen trousers when venturing out with friends of an evening. In fact, the great thing about gladiators is that you can pair them with just about anything; including jeans, denim shorts and chinos.
They really are as versatile as they were made to be, so whether you are heading off abroad or staying on English soil, you can be sure to feel reminded of those true values of courage and strength; you see, they really are much more than just an average sandal!
