I always find that this time of year is so hard to dress for – what with a full month of Fashion Week showcasing next Winter’s trends just finished, Spring Summer collections already taking over the shops AND it’s still raining outside! What? I’ve seen so many Summer pieces that I can’t wait to add to my wardrobe but can’t help but think ‘will I ever get to wear this?’. Whether it is a cute pastel shift dress or a printed floral mini skirt, knowing the Great British weather I think I’ll be waiting a while!
Well wait no more, I decided to introduce some Spring fashion into my Winter wardrobe. I’ve noticed that places like Primark and New Look have some great new Summer prints and shapes in at the moment that are great for experimenting with and won’t break the bank. I recently bought this oversized daisy print dress from Primark. Daisies and florals will be big this Summer with everyone on the high street bringing out there own versions! Although it’s still chilly outside I thought I would inject some Summer vibes into my outfit and wear the dress now. I layered it over some staple black tights, but if you are willing to brave the cold why not try knee high socks? The print is very girly so to toughen up my look I threw on my trusty leather jacket.
To round off the look and coordinate with the biker jacket, I wore these chunky buckle platform boots from Shoe Zone. They are £19.99 and are an online exclusive so get yourself to the Shoe Zone website now! They look deceptively high but after wearing these for a day at work, I was pleasantly surprised as they are super comfortable yet still give you some height!
See you next time!
