One of my favourite pairs of Summer shoes is my black double-buckle Birkenstocks, and I decided I needed an alternative, but something just as sturdy and comfortable. I went for this bargainous white pair from Shoe Zone, so I had a lighter, more Summery colour, and chose a single buckle for a different, more streamlined look.
The thick, shaped sole is lovely and comfy to walk on, though sometimes it scuffs against the white upper. These marks wipe off easily though.
I did worry that the single buckle style wouldn’t stay on my feet as well, but while I wouldn’t go for a long walk in them, they’re perfect poolside fodder. These sandals are great for slinging in your holiday/weekend-away bag and look lovely against tanned feet with a pretty pedi. I love them with rolled-up boyfriend jeans and a T-shirt as much as I do with shorts or a Summer dress.
