With the Winter months bringing nothing but rain, sleet, snow and wind it’s important you have a reliable pair of shoes, but even the most reliable of shoes can buckle under the elements. Follow our top shoe care tips below to keep your shoes looking brand new through the chilly season…
First things first, to keep shoes in tip-top condition a good clean is always the first step. Remove all laces from the shoes and wipe over with a soft cloth or one of our bristle brushes– be sure to get into all those nooks and crannies you wouldn’t normally clean.
Why not treat shoes to a scuff cover, this helps protect shoes against any damage. If it’s white shoes you are treating, try our sports whitener. With just one wipe these products help give shoes a high shine and cover any nasty scuffs or scratches. To add instant shine to any shoes pick up our shoe shine brush.
The third step is one of the most important to keeping your shoes looking good, polishing. Shoe’s always look smarter and cleaner with a good old polish. This helps restore your shoes colour and helps nourish the leather. Apply with an soft, dry cloth and apply a small amount of polish in a circular motion. Here at Shoe Zone our fantastic Cherry Blossom polish is great for this, choose from black or neutral. Once you have given your shoes a good polish, take one of our shoe brushes and buff the shoes to promote a healthy shine to them.
Now that’s done, set them to one side and re-lace once dry. If the laces are looking a bit old, try some new ones. We have a range of colours and thicknesses here. For an extra comfy touch why not try a new insole, we have so many to choose from. Once that’s all done it’s time to show off your polished feet.
