Situated on Kirstall Bridge Shopping Centre along with retailers such as Peacocks, Outfit, The Works, M&S Food, Specsavers and Card Factory.

In 1152 Cistercian monks founded Kirkstall Abbey which took over 75 years to build. The Abbey House Museum opposite the abbey tells the story of the community and the town.

Kirkstall Forge founded in the 13th century and lays claim to being the longest continually used industrial site in Britain until its closure in 1976.

The Kirkstall Festival is an annual event held since 1981 in the Abbey grounds.

Kirkstall Abbey Market is held in the grounds of the ruined abbey one weekend a month between March and November.
