Women’s Slipper Boots

Slipper boots are like a proper hug for your feet! They typically feature plush lining materials like faux fur that feel wonderfully soft against the skin. Most styles have cushioned insoles for added comfort, whilst their high-cut design provides cosy warmth around the ankles. And of course, for those with cold feet, they're an absolute game-changer during chilly evenings.

The added bonus is that they often have a flexible sole, so you can comfortably wear them around the house without worrying about slipping or feeling restricted. Plus, they’re perfect for those lazy weekends when you just want to stay cosy but still need to pop out to grab the post or walk to the kitchen for a cuppa!

Most slipper boots are designed primarily for indoor use, but some styles come with durable rubber that can handle quick trips to the bin or collecting the post. Remember that regular outdoor wear may cause some damage and will significantly reduce their lifespan!

If you’re thinking of wearing them outside more often, look for slipper boots with a sturdier, more reinforced sole - this will give you a bit more protection from the elements. Just keep in mind, they’re still meant for comfort inside, so it’s best to save them for those moments when you just need to step outside for a minute.

Always check the care label first, as methods vary by material. For machine-washable styles, use a gentle cycle with mild detergent and allow to air dry completely - never tumble dry as this can damage the lining and soles. But for non-washable slipper boots, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. If they have an unpleasant odour, try sprinkling bicarbonate of soda inside, leaving overnight, and vacuuming out in the morning. As a general rule, always allow them to air properly between wears to prevent moisture build-up.

For extra freshness, you can also pop some shoe fresheners or lavender sachets inside when storing them to keep them smelling sweet. If the inside lining starts to look a bit flat, you can gently fluff it up by massaging it with your fingers or a soft brush to help maintain that cosy, plush feel. And don’t forget to check the soles for any dirt or grime - they can be wiped clean to keep them looking as good as new!
