I so very rarely get a night out these days; for this reason, dressy clothes and ladylike shoes don't feature an awful lot in my wardrobe! Last week, however, I got the rare chance to go for a night out on the town with some of my colleagues (and no children!) Dinner, drinks and a lift home -what luxury! Of course, I needed a new pair of shoes to mark the occasion and these Lilley Womens Cut-out Ballerina Pumps were perfect to complete the "I'm not trying too hard" look.
Most of my colleagues know me as a t-shirt and trainers sort of a person. My workplace isn't very formal and almost all of my colleagues are male. For my rare night out I wanted to make a bit of an effort to look a touch more dressed up, and a bit more ladylike than on a normal work day so these ballerina pumps made a noticeable difference to my look. The pumps are cool with floral cut-outs all the way around the shoe and tiny diamente details on the toes. I paired them with a pair of skinny dark jeans and a peach-coloured strappy top.
Next week I'm off on my holidays to the sunny south of France and I'm taking these soft-pink ballerina pumps with me as I think they'll make a great pair of all-round shoes which can be casual or smart, depending on how the mood takes me. I've got the perfect beige sun-dress that they will complement. The shoes are really light so they won't take up too much valuable luggage space either!
As a tall woman, I don't need heels to complete a special outfit but I do need something sparkly and ladylike; I love these pumps because they feel special... and they feel relaxed. They feel... me!
