When the sun is shining, sandals are my first choice of footwear. I enjoy the feel of the sunshine on my feet; I like keeping my tootsies cool and I love painting my toenails in lovely, summery shades.
I often find with sandals though, that they tend to rub or make my feet ache which isn’t great when it’s hot and sticky outside. I was very interested in shoezone’s Softlites Easy Fasten Comfort sandals in white; they sounded like they were going to be so comfortable, but would they live up to the promise? AND would they look good too?
Well, when they arrived my teenage Daughter gasped and asked if they were for her, so I thought that was definitely a good start. They looked great; really pretty and very stylish. My husband commented that they are the nicest pair of sandals I’ve had to date, which was a lovely compliment to receive.
I love the whole design, from the straps to the wedge heel. The floral decoration is very pretty but not overly girly which suits me perfectly. They really are easy to fasten with a Velcro strap that can be slightly adjusted for further comfort – I must admit, I’ve never really gone for Velcro fastens before, but they look great, and can be put on almost as easily as a slip-on shoe so I’m sold!
Did they live up to their promise of being ‘comfort’ shoes? YES!! They felt amazing as soon as I slipped them on as the straps are soft and quite generous in width too. There was no rubbing around my toes and the foot bed is gorgeously cushioned; I didn’t want to take them off at the end of the day! They are possibly the most comfortable and lightweight sandals that I have ever owned (and I’ve owned quite a few!)
I can’t get over the price either – £9.99 for sandals of this quality is amazing! I’d totally recommend them for holidays, school runs, or just because…. I love them and I will be stopping by my local shoezone to check out the rest of the Softlites range!
